The Carriage House has a suite upstairs. You enter through the private entrance, and go upstairs to a sitting/TV/DVD area facing the Ocean. Then you enter the bedroom with a cozy four-poster bed. |

The light comes through a Dutch door. This leads you to the historic balcony with views to the mountains, the main house and the park. The private bathroom has a jetted tub. The vaulted ceilings remind you of the original use of the Carriage House: Hay upstairs and horses downstairs. |

The building records estimate the construction date as about 1878. They describe the structure as a barn with a finished loft and a “lean-to”. No value was assigned in 1878. The value in 1973 was $2,415 and in 1987 $ 23,000, respectively. From 2003-2005, Constantin and Adriana Gehriger renovated the Carriage House in the historic style and brought everything up to code and modern comfort. An additional bed may be placed in the room to accommodate additional guests.
